WSB radio talk show guy Eric Von Hessler was just talking this morning
about how common it is for the elderly to get cranky and disagreeable near the end of their lives, and he was thinking that's part of God's plan to make their passing more tolerable to their adult kids. "Ease the pain of the transition" I think he phrased it.


(In contrast, he observed, babies (and baby animals) are especially cute and endearing when they are small and helpless, since tugging at your heartstrings makes you want to protect & care for them more.

One of the things that has given her great pleasure these past couple years has been watching The Birds at her bird feeder. She is named every one of them and made up some story about their lives LOL

I am so deeply sorry. My mother was a little cranky near what ultimately was the end.

I remember he demanding (of me) a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup and wanted it hot and now.

She was in the hospital , it was uncharacteristic of her.
