I use VV 3N38 for 9mm loads but have had a heck of a time finding it (even before the silliness). Recently found it in stock at Powder Valley and ordered 4lbs.
Got it yesterday and noticed the manufacture date is July of 2012. Struck me as odd considering how hard this stuff always is to find. Wonder where this has been sitting for almost a year?????
