That shouldn't be too difficult to pick him out of a lineup... I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a 6'1" hispanic guy in GA.

I went to military college with a Puerto Rican named Eduardo Mariño and that joker had to be 6' 3". He was only guy in Alpha Company that would stand to my right in formation he was so tall.

Tragic story, it will be interesting to find out the whole story.
Targeted killing comes to mind, but it seems unlikely someone would drive a full size pickup around a course looking for a particular person. It could have been one of the mini pickups that golf courses use. That would have made a good getaway vehicle.
