My youngest likes the idea of fishing, but gets bored when we aren't catching anything. So, lots of times we look along the bank for lures. I enjoy this as much as fishing.

Get a magnet tied to paracord. I drop it onto the limbs of submerged trees, especially when the water is low, and pull up lures. I replace the treble hooks and put them back to work!

No pics yet but we just picked up a couple of Kayaks from Appalachian Outfitters Ga . We got the 3 waters 105 models from Bill based on his recommendations. I could not be happier with my purchase! Awesome folks and they treated us right. Just been paddling around the reservoir here in Dahlonega but having fun and catching a few fish. Pics to come.

We stayed at Stephen C. Foster and paddled to Minnie’s Lake, Mixon’s Hammock, and Billy’s Island. We did cheat and take one of the John boats to Big Water, but at 10 miles, one way, that is an all day paddle for us. I definitely want to go overnight out on the platforms soon, the boys aren’t quite ready for that yet.
