Pictures taken while paddling a kayak or canoe

Awesome! I work commercial construction, so I'm working 6 days a week forever, or until this building boom slows down. Do you fish on Sunday mornings? Is the Etowah slow enough that I can paddle back to my car, or do I need to figure out a 2nd pick up point to take me back upstream?

I am in the commercial millwork business, so I understand. I fish on Sundays sometimes. No, you really need to be dropped off or picked up. In spots the current is a little to swift.

Spent both days this weekend on the water. Caught a few different kinds of bass and several bream, nothing big but a lot of fun. Hard to see in the picture, but one of the bass had just eaten a crawdad. The claws were sticking up out of the fish’s throat! Floated up really close to a deer on the bank of Little River. Watched a 4-5 foot black snake chase down a frog and catch him just before he reached the water. A great weekend on the water!

Man, I'm gonna have to get down to Little River. I grew up in Woodstock and we would fish at the dam for white bass in the spring. I have never paddled it.

I went fishing Allatoona Lake on Sunday. Put in at the boat ramp near Little River Marina and headed upstream towards Blankets Creek. Caught several small bass, but nothing great.

Saw a guy free diving near the boat ramp. He would stay down a long time, then resurface and put something in a floating basket. He said that he was gathering snails to eat. Never seen anyone do that before. Kinda cool, but I don’t think that I would try it.

Further up the lake I heard some splashing near the bank, so I paddled over. A banded water snake had caught a fish! I floated up right next to him and watched him eat. One thing that I’ve noticed being on a kayak, I see a lot more wildlife. Snakes, frogs, turtles, squirrels, even floated up to about 15 feet from a deer.

No pics yet but we just picked up a couple of Kayaks from Appalachian Outfitters Ga Appalachian Outfitters Ga . We got the 3 waters 105 models from Bill based on his recommendations. I could not be happier with my purchase! Awesome folks and they treated us right. Just been paddling around the reservoir here in Dahlonega but having fun and catching a few fish. Pics to come.

The guy I fish with has a 105 from AppOut also! Really stable boat, I've seen him standing up with his paddle over his head trying to get a lure out of a tree limb (one he found, not one he cast). He added a rudder this past week and said that it really made a big difference.

My youngest likes the idea of fishing, but gets bored when we aren't catching anything. So, lots of times we look along the bank for lures. I enjoy this as much as fishing.
