Hello My Fellow ODT Brothers!!

Since I was a kid I’ve always loved piano music and really like Fredric Chopin and Mozart. I’ve never actually put in the work to go out and find a pianist to get some lessons on the basics of a piano And the keys. I’ve never checked out videos on YouTube because I prefer to do it in person then watch a video. Life is short so I want to scratch this off my bucket list . If anyone here is a pianist or knows somebody please reach out to me!!

The way I learned when I was younger was I learned how to read the music then went in and numbered each note. Those numbers are assigned to your fingers.

Good idea Chuck, great time to take up a musical instrument.
Without any ammo neighbors can't take pot shots while you're
clinking out the inevitable beginner's sour notes. Perhaps you
will find inspiration from my dad's tale of taking up piano after
we inherited grandpa's upright. Dad had a favorite piece, not
sure whether Moatzart, Showpan, or Beehiven but know it
when I hear it. Dad started practicing after dinner, when he hit
a clunker he'd start over at beginning. Have trouble with a certain
part he'd play that segment repetitively until he had it right then
back to the beginning. Probably took him a year, maybe more to
be able to play that piece all the way thru w/o error. When he
reached that goal he was satisfied and stopped playing except
to play that piece periodically to retain it. His main hobby was
slight of hand magic which requires similar dexterity and precise
execution so easy to understand his mastering one pc of music.
