What the heck is a Panel Cut? I think it has to do with the receiver. Any info appreciated. Google let me down.

It's where the marking and rifle information are put on the reciever generally thought it was to tedious to keep doing that way so they abandoned it early on making them more collectable.Hope this helps you out.
