Any particular reason you want a steel one? We made ours out of retaining wall blocks and put pea gravel around it. It looks pretty nice

If you have the room and don’t plan on moving it around then the dry-stacked bricks or pavers are very nice, around a metal pit, and prolly safer too.

Heat will crumble any blocks made of concrete. Need steel or fire brick liner

Well, we wanted it to be mobile to move in and out of our side drive, as it's the only spot we have that's currently suitable.
