I don't know about other states' laws. Except New York-- I lived in New York State for many years and had an unrestricted (defensive) concealed carry permit there. Not a premises permit, and not one limited to sporting purposes.
There were no limits on the number of guns that a person could carry in New York when I lived there, although if you carried three or four at the same time and the local Clerk of Court (who issued those licenses) heard about it, they might think you're a nut and revoke your permit on a whim.
