I recently started my first AR15 build an I here alot about Mil Spec parts but I do not know the difference between. I picked up a Spikes lower but want to determine if the buffer, spring and tube are Mil Spec. I don't want to go but Mil spec replacements if I already have them. How can I tell?

The spring and buffer should be mil spec and an easy way to tell if the buffer tube is mil spec is to see if the end of it(the end that isn't threaded) and see if there is a slight slant. Mil spec tubes don't have the slant but commercial tubes are a tiny bit longer at the top.
