The prices on M1 Carbines are skyrocketing anymore. My brother mentioned wanting to get one the other day and I told him that he better get one - I would say while the gettin's good, but those days seem to be well behind us.
$1400-1500 isn't out of the question for even a pretty generic GI Carbine. I'd be willing to hold on a bit longer than MILSURP Collector and would tap out at $1200 personally. $1000 or even less is still possible, but you better be patient, eagle-eyed and have cash ready if $1000 is your threshold.

Yeah it seems like they have definitely appreciated in value. Appreciate the comments.
The nice ones are high for sure. CMP sold some very nice rifles a few years ago for maybe $900 or so but thats been awhile.
Picked the QH and a Jukebox carbine up today. I bought them as part of a rifle package from an out of state gun shop that had them and a few other rifles on consignment. Both M1 Carbines have the CMP certificates and literature and I think they have their original barrels. I think I got a pretty decent buy on the lot.
