I was shooting remington subsonics in my ruger Mark 2 (22 L.R.) and one of the rounds jammed.

Couldn't get it to eject. The extractor wouldn't begin to dislodge.

Fiddled around and got it out with a small screwdriver.

When I checked it out, I noticed a longitudinal split about 80% of the way down the case.

Nothing unusual otherwise. No baffle strikes or any such.

Anyone know why a case would split like that with a suppressor installed?

Need more info.

Ammo details:
Model
Grain
Age
Storage method

Was it the first round after installing the can?

Did you shoot more after that with the can installed? How many rounds? Any issues?

Sounds like a bad cartridge. I was shooting some CCI standard velocity suppressed on my Colt Walther 1911 and had a case get stuck in the barrel. Had to stick a cleaning rod down to break it loose. No cracks on it though.

I think it was a bad case.

Wasn't the first round. Shot a bunch more after that. Nothing unusual happened.

No obstructions or any such. (I had recently cleaned the can, but it was all back together tight and aligned. No baffle strikes.)

Ammo was pretty new. Maybe only a year or two old. Always stored in a cool dry place.

Wish I had taken a pic.

Not the first time I have ever seen a 22 split like that. Just the first time I have seen it with a suppressor. Curious as to whether it was somehow a factor.
