Anyone going to brave the wind today?
I’m gonna try for a couple hours.

Some guys won’t hunt windy days but after I saw the biggest buck on public land moving on a extremely windy day where the wind blew in circles and he only moved when the wind blew and stopped or laid down when the wind stopped ....I’m a wind hunter now...lol.

Too bad I couldn’t get a shot cause he was out of archery range.

Good luck fellas! I was fixing coffee this morning. Looked out window and coyote was munchin on the gut pile from yesterday’s harvest. I slipped to the end of the backyard to setup for a shot, doe jumped out tall grass and blew at me scaring the Yote!

I could only hunt till 9:30.
I ran to my ladder this morning working a can bleat call and I heard one running towards me from the opposite ridge.
I dashed up my ladder real quick and got ready.
He was coming up the hill behind me pretty fast then slowed down and eventually stopped.
Lots of wind so I just stayed still and waited.
He never showed himself but I heard him slink away .
Probably winded me.

Saw lots of does, but nobody pushing them.
I'm in the mountains; at least I got bone chilling cold

Had a good one sneak in around 8 am mark a scrape and back into the thick! Only shot would have been a Texas heart shot
