A friend of mine suggested I come here. He's an avid hunter and recently purchased a shotgun here. 60 years ago my father, brothers and I learned to shoot by hunting mistletoe (absolutely no done now) every Christmas with a Winchester Model 63. It was handed down to me. Sadly, there is no one for me to pass it on to, so I'd asked my friend how to go about this. He suggested this forum. I know nothing about the requirements to legally sell personal firearms in Georgia, background checks, registration (never been registered anywhere). A web search shows this model being worth something between $900 and $3400. It's never been modified, but I maintained it and cased it since we've been in GA. So, I need some guidance to discover what it is I don't know, that I don't know.
