New Project Dodge Guys Holler at me.

I like it because it's so basic. All manual everything. Plus like I said, to ME this was the best looking Dakota body style. And plenty of room under the hood to reach whatever you need to with that 4 cylinder in it.
being in the business....I detest mopars from that era. last 15 years or so I like them, but past that....bleh

They really were hit or miss ( mostly miss) for years. But from 09 to around 11 I had 2 K Cars that I really loved. The 2.2 Chrysler engine had a solid rep. Unfortunately the 85 LeBaron in my yard now has the damn 2.5 Mitsubishi engine. And I can't think of anything good Mitsubishi ever made. One of my K Cars was a 2 door with a 5 speed manual. It was ordered that way in 88 by the father of the guy I got it from.
I don't consider myself a Mopar guy but looking back I have had my share.

Oh Lord!! The 2.5 Mits engine with the balance chain issues!! I installed dozens of the balance chain delete kits in Chrysler mini vans!! You'll also notice after the 2.2 and 2.5 in the early Chrysler mini vans you cant get a mini with a 4 cyl anymore!! Way not enough motor. Only took them way too long to figure that out!

I had the Mitsubishi Montero just like this one in 98. Mine was a 91 with the 3.0 V6 you mentioned. I lived it when I got it but hated it soon afterwards. Mine like many of them were head gasket cases just like the 94 Honda Passport ( Isuzu Rodeo) I had in 2011.
