New Ford F-150 Lightning EV

So what happens in 2 or 3 years with battery fatigue (like with your phone and degraded charging). Do the batteries need replacing or do you just live with reduced range?

Not sure but my bosses Tesla is over 120k miles on the original batteries and my buddies Prius is coming up on 150k.

Has to be diff battery tech than used in these damn phones.
Nah, the Prius is a hybrid, and when the triangle of death comes on, the dealership will charge him more to replace the battery than that itty bitty car is worth. As for the Tesla... it couldn't tow a johnboat from Atlanta to Carters Dam, much less a 32' powerboat to the Gulf.

No, you can just put a small diesel generator in the bed of the truck to charge the batteries and a 30 gallon diesel tank for the generator. Good to go.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a total electric vehicle? The hybrid was a great idea, the EV not so much. The battery tech still isn't there (8 hours downtime for charging?) Really! Trying to cram this down the American people's throats is going to backfire. All EVs are ultimately coal or natural gas burners (apparently for 8 hours a day!) This is the kind of thing you get when ideologues (ignorant ones at that) run your country.
