Need tips for Jekyll island PLEASE!

The Sharks should be around in good numbers by now. Find some sandy flats and make long casts and wait.

Just pick up some heavier line for those rods. Maybe 20# if they will take it or 15# in a pinch. We've caught plenty of blacktips and Bonnetheads on those size rods with no issue. Just watch the drag and take your time. Good eating too!

A 1-2oz slip sinker above a barrel swivel, a wire leader or 50# mono leader will be fine. Cut bait or shrimp on the bottom will catch a big variety of things. Walmart and all the bait stores sell these rigs ready to go cheap too..

Saltwater Success - Try to find a spot where the tributaries drain back out of the marsh during the ebbing tide. Catch live bait with a cast net, then move up the beach and use same bait in similar spots.

The fish do this every day like clockwork. They know when the food is comin. You just gotta put what they want on the hook.

Works everywhere there's marsh. Never been to Jekyll.
