I’ve been given my grandmother’s old hunting shotgun, an 870 Wingmaster with a fixed full choke 30” barrel. I don’t hunt, but I do occasionally shoot skeet with my buddies and would like to get this threaded to use more open chokes. For sentimental reasons, I’d like to use the same barrel instead of replacing it or buying a new gun.
Any recommendations for gunsmiths in metro or northeast GA that can thread a shotty for chokes?
Edit: second question, can I get it threaded for whatever kind of chokes I want? Say, if I’d like to use invector standard chokes instead of remchokes?
