I have this model 11 that was passed down to me. From what I have researched, it looks to be manufactured in 1939. It has a weird choke system that looks like its missing a piece. Anyone know what its missing so I can try to find replacement parts? Also, whats the value on this?

Looks like You have a broken Cutts compensator.
IIRC. It should have a sleeve you twist to tighten up on the fingers to adjust the choke.

Something that can be fixed or would I need to buy a replacement barrel?

Looks like a Polychoke to me. I believe Cutts used screw-on chokes if I'm not mistaken. Lots of Polychokes on ebay.

The Model 11 is a solid Browning A5 design. One of that age could use a rebuild kit to replace all the springs, friction rings, and the shock buffer inside the receiver (which can be a bear to replace). Art's Gun Shop in Missouri carries the rebuild kits and they are a great source for info and repairs. If the gun is in decent shape and is functional, they are typically worth $250-400.

Cut it down to about 20-22 inches and have it threaded for REMChokes. Call Remington and they will date it for you. They dated my Model 11 to 1914. I cut mine to 18in and cleaned it up and fit a semi-fit stock to mine. They are fun guns.
