Need a Vet tech for a turtle

An important part of having and keeping pets is to teach our children about the "circle of life". Pets die. It's a fact of life. I love my daughter but am not spending $200 to take a turtle to the vet. Kids are resilient and, instead of protecting her from this experience, start thinking about how to teach her about the process of life and death and the inevitable sting of loss.

Of all people I didn't expect this to come from you over a Turtle. Honestly though I agree as now would be a perfect time to teach her as HH has stated rather than with a cat , dog or human.

Every time I see this thread pop up, I see " Need a V-TECH for a turtle" before I actually read the title. Throws me for a loop every time.

Hows the turtle doing post op?
