I have a brand new rebuilt .040 350 in my sons truck. It’s an 83 K10 4x4 with a 6” lift.

Engine was built by a real pro.

350 total roller with a 474 lift cam.
Edelbrock E Street heads
Edelbrock performer intake
Brawler 670 double pumper

I’m struggling to set the distributor in correctly.

I’m calling on the ODT brethren. Can someone help please!

Help a broke teenager and a frustrated dad out, lol!

Pull the #1 spark plug and hold your finger over the hole. Bump the engine until the pressure pushes your finger away from the hole. Then drop in the distributor so the rotor is pointing at the No. 1 plug. Not perfect but a good place to start. You can always end up with the distributor in 180 degrees out, but at least you can make that adjustment fairly easy.
