Here is a modern day Dick Proenneke. I dream to be able to do something like this one day, but my wife and children would not be as supportive as his seem to be.

The above video is a two year build of a log cabin in remote Ontario. He channel has much more detailed videos of each section of the build, plus additional structures he continues to build on his property.

Dicks video documentation of his years spent living alone near twin Lakes AK, - while I find them very interesting to watch, I always found it odd that a guy in 1968 who wanted to live alone and away from society, spent years staging and setting up cameras and filming/editing and documenting in journals his daily life for others to watch/read?..
