If the name has a Z in front of it that is Zola McCarty the son of Mr McCarty who is deceased now for several years. He made some of the best custom folders you could buy. He made several fixed blade knives in his lifetime and they were nice and they are rare. I think there is still a web site up for Z Knives if he hasn’t taken it down since I think he quite making knives also. They are from Georgia.

I messed up on my info on your McCarty knife. The grandson that took over McCarty knives when he passed away and started the business of Z Knives is named Chris English. Sorry about that I got my people mixed up , but your fixed blade McCarty is a pretty rare piece.
