May Be A Silly Question . . .

I have only been to a range a couple of times, but would like to know why gun ranges do not allow steel cased ammo.
Pretty sure there is a reasonable explanation but I am curious.
Thanks

I was told years ago and don't know if it's true. With power residue on the floor a steel case might make a spark and cause a fire.

Back in the 1970's when I shot skeet, some gun ranges wouldn't let you pick up your hulls. That's why I shot an over/under rather than an auto or pump, so I could reload.

Wolf Creek tried that crap for a while.

Claimed that any hull that hit the ground was theirs.

Told them to call the cops for stealing "their" hulls.

Have run across the occasional indoor range with that rule, and I break out the revolvers.
