Good thing to have if you have well that had depended on electricity that could go out. If you know of a deal to pump water up a 50 ft dug well, please post where or a link to a resource.

Lowes sells/stocks them, I had to replace one that was over a 100 yrs old last year due to a surprise freeze coming and it cracking. They're great for back-up service.

If you want to go high tech, the simple pump company offers a billet aluminum model that can be ran by a 12 volt motor & solar panels...that's the route I took...check this out!
