i've had this thing since before the beginning of turkey season and the batteries are still going strong! the light has not faded a bit!

best flashlight i have bought to date!

this is the pro model which i have and it's only a couple dollars more over the standard 2D LED Maglite and produces 274 Lumens,
140 lumen higher than the 134 from the basic 2D LED and about 13 hours continuous run time which is 5 more than the 2D LED.

I've got about 8 of the old Maglites that take 2 D batteries. I've been looking for the LED conversion kit for mine.

i'm the same way, but this was about the same price as the conversion kit so i just went with it.....plus the conversion kit wasn't as bright
