M134 Barrels

I could be wrong, probably am but thought I had heard that any Gatling gun with a power source was considered a machine gun. Also I think that aircraft guns that operated by electric controls are considered machine guns too. They have to manual external triggers. I can’t imagine anything short of a hand crank as a manual trigger that could move the functions of a mini gun. I could see a manual trigger being able to fire a round but not circulate the barrels or feed the gun with ammo.
