I found and brought home another m1 carbine today. A Universal 1st gen model 1005 in great shape. With it I got some magazines that are also in great shape (no packaging). Not being an expert on M1 Carbines and certainly not being a M1 carbine magazine expert I'm looking for any feed back on what these are and if they are rare (for guns made 50+ years ago). Should I set them back for history sake and preserve a possible museum piece, or is it ok to shoot the snot out of them and throw them on top of all the after market mags when I'm done?
All are the standard 15 round mags.

B (circled)- I read that these were Winchesters made in Bridgeport?
U- Union Hardware
KSG- Saginaw
SW- Stanley Works

I dont want to be accused of "Bubba'ing" up these if there is a collectiblity to them. If only someone would have stopped those guys in the 60s from cutting up 03s.

I have some old milsurp ammo, bandoliers and magazines I would part with if you're interested.
