Lymph nodes tender and aiwb

As someone who works with Lymphedema and lymphatic medicine on a daily basis. My suggestion is to go see your primary care physician, although they are not very extensively educated on lymphatics, they’re your best bet to get any form of treatment or even a referral.

In my experience swollen tender lymph nodes are a symptom your body is fighting some form of an infection as mentioned by previous reply’s. Your lymphatic’s are partially responsible for holding your white blood cells that help fight infections. Sometimes a simple “bunker buster” antibiotic can do the trick.

If you’re noticing any swelling of the extremities at all, or if you push down on your skin and see it pitting(you see your thumbprint for too long) this is pitting edema and a symptom of Lymphedema. You would need to see a Lymphedema therapist for treatment there.

To conclude , your lymphatics are very fragile and not something to be taken lightly, the “rub some dirt on it” method we were taught as kids to push through the pain or discomfort is not the best course of treatment in this case.
