Lost my best friend.

Jake had been with me for 16 years. He was like my shadow. If he heard the keys in my hand, he was at the front door ready to go. Didn’t matter where just so long as he was going. We hunted and fished and camped together for many years. After my divorce he claimed the right side of the bed and the pillow. I swear he didn’t know he was a dog. What a great companion he was. Never knew a stranger. If he didn’t like you then there was something wrong with you. I am truly going to miss him. So long Big Guy.

Damn brother, I totally understand that feeling of losing your best friend. I lost a great one early last year, still get all choked up every time I think about him. There’s just nothing like the love and loyalty of a dog, especially when they don’t think they’re dogs. lol I’m a firm believer that all dogs go to Heaven, you’ll see him again one day...

Sorry to hear my friend! I remember the first meet we had I had the privilege of meeting him. He was a good pup and I knew yall were close. Praying for you, these types of losses are tough.
