Sorry to hear you are still battling that. This was premium cuts from a grain fed 70lb doe. I resisted shooting her for a month but she laid down by my stand one morning that I was really hungry. I picked her up by her hind legs and toted her to the Pathfinder.

It's hard to beat backstrap from a small doe. Tender and tasty. Now I'm thinking I need to thaw out a backstrap for breakfast tomorrow.
