Look what my wife ordered me for my Birthday

Always wondered if that type of stock had any detrimental effect on accuracy?

I always thought they did. I currently own 2 Ruger and 1 custom with full stocks, and have owned several others in the past. They are about equal in accuracy if the stock is properly fit, and it doesnt start to change until the barrel gets pretty warm. But mine are hunting rifles so 3 or 4 quick shots is the most it would ever get and that doesnt seem to be an issue. Now I know with improper storage can cause warpage, and I never hunted with mine in the rain for the same reason. Stock warpage, even a tiny bit, could really screw with accuracy.
