It simple. When idiotic prices are posted and uncontested, they become the new norm... People looking to list, don't check dealers and other sources, they just scan ODT and see those prices and assume that's the going rate, and everyone does it because they see everyone else doing it, and it creates an artificial inflation, if you will.

It drives all the prices up and in the end, kinda ruins this place...

So why not just buy it from the gun store and not worry about what the odt has things listed for?

I do. I also post the deals so that others may benefit.

Why does THAT bother you? What business is it of yours, if other people save money? Why don't you mind your own business? Why do you make it your mission to make sure that people pay more? :-)

I went to Freedom Mill in Cumming/Coal Mnt. They had good prices. I got a Ruger Security 9 with laser and 50 rnd of ammo for $398.

I like that place. Plenty of room inside, nice people.

I don't have a problem with people saving money. Quite often post stuff up in the steals and deals section as well. It's the hall monitoring that drives me crazy. It's the closet socialism.

SHows that you still don't know what's going on. Your name isn't Biden, is it?

I don't want to silence anyone. I don't want to prevent someone from asking too much.

I just said that I should be able to post lower prices. That is only "preventing" you from charging higher prices, for the reasons that the other guy admitted to earlier... You are only able to charge those prices because you rely on your buyers not knowing any better. Anyone who tips them off, is a threat to you, hence why you react shrilly.

Doesn't matter what I think is fair. All I know is that dealer charge way less new, than ODT charges for used. If my pointing that out threatens you, perhaps THAT is a sign that you are asking too much?

God it smells so poor in here. If I have something and you want it you’ll pay my asking price or I’m stuck with it. If I don’t want it bad enough I’ll slash my price and you’ll jump on the “deal”. It’s a give and take relationship that occurs with all commodities and usually is most volatile during election time.

As for the whiner about “unlicensed dealers” on ODT report them to the ATF if it’s worrying you so much you’ll see how hard they pursue it....

I asked a simply legal question, that was answered by a lawyer, who happened to agree with me. Not my fault that it made some people uncomfortable... Maybe they should be asking themselves WHY it makes them uncomfortable, rather than trying to run the person who asked the question out of town.
