Trouble is, though, the Hush Puppy was selected because it was not lethal. It was originally developed for crowd control because during all the Palestinian stuff in the late 80's, IDF found that their riot ammo wasn't strong enough to convince people to disperse. So they picked this to shoot protestors in the legs to try and convince them to go home. Still in service today, but it's primarily used to silence dogs that might spoil a covert entry, hence it's nickname.
