I like the idea of night vision. But I can see the ir light. Doesn't it give away your position?
If you were in the woods and you turned on ur nv I would see you instantly. Even on the high dollar setups. What gives

You can only see IR illuminators and lasers if you’re actively looking through a night vision unit yourself.

You can. The emitter glows red on a 850nm IR light.
The 940nm IR doesn’t do this, however it’s not as far reaching as the 850nm

LED illuminators can give off a slight red glow to the naked eye; lasers no.
