It's the French DARNE series of shotguns/double rifles. The breechblock is slid back by pulling up a hinged lever for loading and unloading. It makes sense since you do not have a set of barrels on a hinge where play between the barrel and receiver assemblies can loosen up over time. With the DARNE lockup, the action locks up more consistently (more important if it's a double rifle).
