Lack of Workers

What Democrat has ever said just open the borders and let anyone in? As for free handouts, the government gives more handouts to corporations like banks, auto companies, lockheed, fannie mae, and a slew of other massive companies. The pennies the average person receives don't even add up to 1% of what corporations get.

Socialism is an economic concept. Democracy is a political concept. Social programs are not the same as socialism. Every democracy is based on social programs, thus why America was founded on "Democratic socialism". A lot of Republicans can't seem to differentiate (I don't identify as a party by the way).

Taxes are a social program that literally fund the nation. From elementary school and public roads, to the right to be free and vote, are all products of social programs. Without those programs, a democracy becomes a totalitarian dictatorship.

Russia is a federal democratic state. Russia is a federative, law-based state with a republican form of government. The central government retains significant authority, but regional and local governments have an array of power (sound familiar?). In practice, however, it is a dictatorship. The American republican party models their policies after, but refuse to admit it's the same structure as Russia. Getting rid of social programs is the only difference.

The Republican Party is in fact more libertarian and favor laissez-faire style economics. Republicans prefer to let corporations run their course with less regulation; thus, they are the more corporatist party and believe in Reaganomics (trickle-down economics). Republicans rationalize viewpoints by saying deregulation is “necessary for technological progression” or “best for the consumer” or that the “money trickles down to the poor in the long-run”. History has proven that is not how Democracy works and that it cannot work that way. That method leads to Totalitarian rule, with the rich/ powerful politicians being in the pockets of corporations, without any sort of public governance or input from the general public on laws and conduct. At least in America, we have more freedoms than in Russia.

The majority of people on social programs are actually Americans working a minimum of 32 hours/ week. And social programs do benefit the country as a whole. Without it the national GDP would drop, schools would suffer, cost of living would multiple, individual rights would diminish, sole businesses would evaporate and government would dictate everything. Again, take a look at Russia.
Logic and reason...something I don't see much of on the ODT.

Thank you, Sir. My philosophy is simple, if you ever find yourself agreeing 100% with one party... there's a problem. Some things I agree with Dems on, some things I agree with Reps on. And one thing I believe we can all agree on is all of those jokers are greedy little *****.

So democrats don’t want a open border? Do you?

No. And I don't think anyone in America wants "open borders". That would just be asinine, lol. Most want a path to citizenship that doesn't take 10 years to process. Most countries have similar systems, but America's is just so clogged.

In 2021, roughly 483,846 immigrants either entered America through Mexico. However, the govt estimates over 1.1 million enter each year. That means the rest came from other places, like Europe, Canada, India, etc. No one seems to have a problem with those immigrants; just the Mexican type. On average, about 9 million Americans leave America each year. Why not let in some people?

The IRS estimates that about 6 million unauthorized immigrants file individual income tax returns each year. Crazy when you consider there's plenty of US Citizens and massive Corporations that don't even pay taxes. About 57.1% of US households paid no individual income. So those "illegals" are actually doing more for this country than nearly 40% of American citizens. Not to mention, they work under-the-table and for much less. Which helps the businesses they work for. They could easily just pocket the money and not pay taxes.

Given the stats, I'd say there's plenty of great reasons (despite the cons) to let immigrants in America. People tend to forget the fact that America has a lengthy, dark history. Immigrants came here illegally, took this land and then invited more illegals. Lol. That is what this country was founded on. Mexico actually owned part of America before it was America. But Americans decided to kill them and steal the land; thus the Mexican-American War that resulted in a treaty and the govt pays Mexico every year for that land. People should remember that Mexicans were here long before America was ever a thought.

The belief that corporations don’t pay taxes is as asinine as saying no one pays taxes in Fla.
Its also fake news propaganda to upset the “masses” to try to encourage the switch to Marxism .
Your posts show a strong leaning to full on Marxism.

What are you talking about? Did you even read what I wrote? Or did you just paraphrase it so you could make a completely offbase response? Where did I say anything about Marxism, class warfare, or overthrowing anyone?

You can literally look up the tax records of corporations and see what taxes they do/ don't pay. Amazon paid ZERO taxes in 2018. Do you think that's the only company that's gotten away with that? Go research. The amount of taxes that corporations dodge, is significantly more than the amount of money spent on social programs. If you have a problem with social programs, stop using all the things those programs pay for. Roads, schools, police, voting, etc.

Do you even know what Marxism is? Marxism is a social, political, and economic theory that focuses on the struggle between capitalists and the working class. It's the belief that this conflict would ultimately lead to a revolution in which the working class would overthrow the capitalist class and seize control of the economy.

READ THAT AGAIN. Because you clearly don't comprehend well.

Are you saying there is no struggle between the working class and capitalists? There absolutely is. So his theory could very well come true. It has happened in several other countries. Aren't you a Trump supporter and support the terror attack on Jan 6th? I bet you're all for that. But have the nerve to post this hypocritical bs. I don't know what your issue is with me, but don't bother responding. You need serious mental help.

I like your response and agree with this. The only thing I would clarify on my part is how dems address the few issues I agree on. They are issues, but their fix ideas don’t work. The biggest thing I’d say about politicians across the board is they and their friends and family continue to get richer and richer while left and right voters get further apart.

I take it you are a military man from your handle, yet you call Jan. 6th a terror attack? Come on man! You should know the difference. I bet you view the crap antifa, blm, etc... does as just unpleasantries since they are more in line with your world view.

So...America was not founded on "Democratic Socialism". ......"The ORIGINS of Democratic Socialism trace back to the 19th century, primarily in Britain at the time. The constitution and founding documents were written in the 18th century.

What's irritated me most about lack of workers is the take out being closed while the drive through is still open. I'll take my business elsewhere instead of wasting my gas sitting in a drive through.

If any other group did that, what would you call it?

Don’t lie now.

If ANTIFA did it, y’all would call them terrorists and call for their heads. If BLM did it, they would have been shot dead and you’d call them Terrorist thugs. Cut the bs.
