Knife gurus

Good morning. Can someone please tell me about this knife. Overall length is 8 in. Any advice will be appreciated. I'm not a knife enthusiast.

Looks like a hunting/skinning knife with some sort of damascus steel. Looks decent.

It looks like one of the pieces that come out of pakistan/india. (Most makers here in the US use different grind characteristics.)

All the above. If it was damascus forged by most custom makers I know, we're going to put our maker's mark on the blade. Good damascus is not as simple as a lot of folks think. Only exception might be those hobby makers who buy Alabama Forge Damascus to make their blades, but don't have enough confidence in their work to mark it.
Be aware that the Chinese are also flooding the market place with inferior copies of the more popular US makers. Gotten worse in the past two years.

Thanks for the info! Wasn't sure if it was worth picking up. Some crackhead left it on the ground after unloading and reloading their entire cars worth of crap all over the parking lot and drove off.

It’s a knife. It cuts+ iits nice looking+. Pick up all you find

I recognize that knife!! I saw it in a guys ribs last weekend at the bar.
