Just pulled this out of the freezer, 11/06/20. Will I survive?

Thaw it and check it out.

As mentioned if it's been frozen solid since then, it should be fine. If it smells and looks okay, then thoroughly cook it slow & low - maybe 2 / 3 hours at 300 degrees. Reinspect it and if it still smells okay, then try a small amount.

I would use it all up soon and not refreeze it after that long.

So... I gave it a couple days to thaw in the fridge. It passed the sniff test, so I cooked it last night. Did a little taste & gut test after it came out, and all seemed good. Went to town on it this afternoon and evening. It ate just like any other ham, but I did get a bit of an upset stomach about 4 hours later. biker_bill biker_bill how did yours turn out?

As long as it doesn't taste like creamed corn...

The wife told me to leave it in there, she had enough food out and defrosted.
(So there it'll stay for another 5 years.....) :becky:
