JB weld on dumbells ?

I got these 20# dumbells about 25 years ago, painted them a decade ago. Doing skull crushers last night when I noticed the welds are coming loose. I've tried to remove the ends but they won't come off, just slightly wiggle around
Will JB weld work or will they need to be welded ?

In the short term it would. But over time it will probably fail from dropping them.

Yea, go ahead and dab a little JBWeld in there, it’s not like anything bad would happen if that 10 pound weight fell off and landed on someone’s face.

use a nickel rod if it is . they work well on cast ime
