I have a nicely restored J.C.Higgins model 51 bolt rifle made by FN in 30.06. It has the rare mannlicher stock. Chrome lined barrel. Anybody got any interest let me know.

I have my grandfathers model 31 that he bought from the sears catalog when he was 13. Has the retractable sling and shoots good.

I have a Model 29 (made by High Standard) that is an excellent shooter with nice walnut, deep blueing, no tool marks. A relic from an age when even "budget" goods featured quality American materials and workmanship, and Sears was America's retailer. Today Sears is dead and we have Wal-Marts full of Chinese junk.
I have read that Sears once owned a good bit of High Standard stock to include a couple of seats on the HS board of directors. JC Higgins firearms made by HS were not re-branded HS guns but were instead made to Sears specifications.
