Item Description: Got a nice Remington model seven in 308. Production date of 1984. Believe it's the compact model as it has a 18.5 inch barrel but can't find what models were available in 1993. Gun is in good shape. Very strong and clean rifling. Blueing is great with only a few minor areas of wear from scope rings and such. Wood has some dents and dings but nothing bad. Feel free to text or call. 770 823 8890.

Well there's clearly a 93 marked on the barrel so I assumed it was a 93 production. When I've got some more time today I'll dive into its history a little bit more.

I was looking at the code, and wonder if I am looking in the correct spot in picture. I thought the code precedes the “93” and I see a “u” and something else?

My curiosity comes from the fact that I have a similar Model 7 in 243. The three hole scope mount gives it away as an older gun.

Where are you looking?

Are you seeing “OE”?
