Item Description: Hi Everyone,
I've got a really special piece up today. This is an N Frame, five screw Smith and Wesson Magnum Revolver, chambered in .357 Mag. It predates the Model 27 designation. This has the rare 5 inch barrel, and is in the factory box. Condition is like new. Original gold box is included, with original cleaning accessories. I do not believe it has ever been fired since the factory. Hammer has no striking marks, the cylinder has only the faintest turn mark. Factory blued finish is 99%-100%. It is engraved. Inscription is to William David Burroughs, then commander of the 2nd Regiment at West Point. Burroughs later went on to serve as Colonel 0-6 in the Air Force, being captured in Vietnam and spending 2409 days in captivity at the infamous "Hanoi Hilton". Burroughs passed away in 1999. Article on his service: http://veterantributes.org/TributeDetail.php?recordID=435
I am not by any means eager to get rid of this. Mainly looking at higher end trades for World War I/II items:
Mauser C96s
Luger rigs
US Service 1911s
Krags
K98s
Gewehr 41/43
etc.
I am open to cash offers or multi gun milsurp trades.
