Item Description: Great Condition Smith & Wesson 460 xvr with the 8 3/8 barrel. Comes with box, docs, and up to 119 rounds of ammo depending on the deal. For those that don’t know thus gun will fire 460 magnum, 454 casual, and 45 long colt. Mainly looking to trade for a 4” Smith 500 mag or shorter. Possibly a shorter 460. Would also consider a Stainless Marlin 45/70. Will listen to all offers though. If you just have to have a cash price PM me. $1300 cash with all the ammo.

Ever shot the 4” .500? It will put some hair on your chest. 2-3 rds per range trip and I’m like…ok…back to 9mm lol. (with shooting the hornady)

Yea, when that cannon goes off the concussion literally feels like you just got punched in the chest. I’ve had 2 of them.
I owned a 4” a couple different times. It’s not bad once you learn how to shoot it. I have the 8 3/8 500 now.

I think it also purely depends on the ammo you shoot as well as far as it not being bad. That hornady ballistic tip 300 gr and the Winchester platinum tip was absurd and thoroughly not enjoyable but hilarious at the same time lol. I’d fire that thing off at the range and people would stop shooting and look over to see what that was. There are other rounds though that aren’t bad and aren’t so hot.
