Item Description: M1 Built at Springfield Armory June, 1943. Sent to the ETO, served there till the war ended, then turned over to Denmark to help rearm their army after German Occupation.

Was reworked there and a VAR barrel was installed as part of the refurbish. Returned to the US and sold by the CMP.

Well traveled WW2 veteran became my deer rifle. It has a CMP Scout mount that allows red dots and LER scopes. Absolutely cold death out of a deer stand.

Doc tells me to quit climbing trees, so here it is.

Can meet in Locust Grove. Would rather not ship as buyer should inspect a 77 year old rifle before purchase, IMHO, but will ship if desired, can get shipping quote for buyer.

Can't see the sights any more?, THIS is the Garand you need!

Still dark. Maybe some sun will help.

Sorry about the dark pics, stock looks good.

eta: scope mount is removable. No alteration done to rifle to install the mount. It has been on there 10+ years.

Is the scout rail a permanent modification, what would it take to return to stock?

As mentioned: scope mount is removable. No alteration done to rifle to install the mount.

And you can reinstall a standard USGI rear handguard and clip if desired.
