Yup, 100% agree. But you would have to have the will to protect 2A companies from legal assault, and that means that you need to be in the US, and you will need deep pockets.

And, let's be real. While server hardware is 'cheap' compared to yesteryear, a hosting company with the ability to host petabytes of data and distribute it without lag anyplace in the US is not going to be cheap.

That being said, there are some startups trying to be 2A friendly.

Full 30 has been up for a while as a YT alternative, but they haven't gotten all that much traction even though a lot of the big-name YouTubers are there (MAC, Hickock, etc.)

There's also a new company called "Utreon" that is trying to be a less evil version of YouTube. They have a good business model, and maybe they will end up with traction. They did pick a terrible name though...
