Is all 3 lug created equal?

I'm setting up a 3 lug on my newest project and I'm in the contemplating stages of getting another pistol can. As far as the suppressor is concerned, will a 9mm 3 lug and a 45 3 lug both fit a 3 lug mount? Rephrase, a 45 caliber can with a 3 lug mount fit on both a 45 and a 9 mm gun with a 3 lug muzzle device?

FM9 bought factory with a 3 lug will fit a Rugged Obsidian .45 suppressor with the 3 lug mount from Rugged.

They are not all fully compatible between the same caliber either. I have heard of issues with compatibility between brands.

I know that the B&T APC45 uses a different 3-lug and then APC9. It’s kinda a case by case basis unfortunately I believe. Cool to hear about the obsidian 45 working on the 9mm 3-lug though!

I thought a 45 mount with work with a 45 3 lug and 9 3 lug but a 9mm mount will only work with a 9 3 lug. Of course, some manufacturers mounts will have a tighter spec and only take their house made mounts/3 lugs
