For me it would be a 22lr....can carry lots of ammo, can easily be supprresed for low noise signal and able to take small game, not worried about taking a deer in a SHTF scenario. On the other hand an AR in 5.56/.223 because that's what military and law enforcement use so spare parts, mags and ammo would be easier to come by in a worlds gonna end situation.

Someone on here made sheet metal inserts to cure that issue. I have had a couple I remember PSA had for $399 free shipping included five mags way back when.
