Found this past weekend while I was scouting hunting property in Heard county in a stream any ideas? Think it’s for cleaning hides my self....

My FIL, who is Indian and quite versed in artifacts, said this in response to the pics;

‘Can’t see it clearly when enlarged
Skinning tools are generally smaller and made to hold between thumb and forefinger ( see Waller knife)
The size is more of a hand ax but very worn down looking. Could be a natural spall from a large slab.
What type of rock is it? Most cutting tools, blades points were made of some type of chert or agate or flint or coral that can be pressure flaked”
