Idaho 2018 Elk/Muley

Anyone interested in going out west for a DIY elk/muley hunt the end of September? Will be in Idaho and success runs relatively high.

I have a good friend that lives in Caldwell Idaho. Hunted upland game there last December in Idaho and just across the Snake river over in Oregon. Beautiful country. My son found a really nice mule shed.

Are the tags over the counter or lottery for out of state?

Archery elk and muley is over the counter. However, bear is also over the counter and rifle season is in for bear during the end of September which is when I am going out for elk and muley. The bears in that area of Idaho are about 75% color phase bears.
